106 handsfree microphone failure
Summary of the thread
A 2002 Peugeot 106 diesel experienced a failure with its hands-free microphone, rendering telephony impossible and storing an error in the system memory. The issue was suspected to be related to the infotainment system. A similar problem in another vehicle was resolved by replacing the Bluetooth module. Ultimately, the solution for the Peugeot involved repairing the infotainment system, which restored the hands-free functionality.

Interesting. No other audio problems, just the mic. Was the repair on your Megane expensive?

Yes, it was definitely the Bluetooth module. The only solution was replacement. Considering the symptoms and error code you mention, a visit to the workshop might be unavoidable in your case. It could be a defective infotainment system, like you said. Good luck!

Thanks for the info! Turns out it was indeed the infotainment system. Cost me 815€ to get it sorted, but at least the hands-free is working again.

I had a similar problem with my old Renault Megane. The Bluetooth module went haywire, killing the audio input. Ambient noise was through the roof, and volume control did nothing. Is your Peugeot showing any other audio-related issues?
