Hey there, Thanks for the heads up. Appreciate your taking the time to respond. You've mentioned a different issue than what I was suspecting, but that does indeed sound serious. It's always better to be on the safe side, eh? Just curious though, do you remember how much you had to shell out to get the DSC/ABS control unit replaced in your Sentra? Oh, and by the way, has anything else untoward come up with your ride ever since? You know, just trying to get a handle on what I might expect. Thanks again!

Yo, No worries, glad to help. Back then, replacing the DSC/ABS unit did make my wallet a tad lighter — cost me about a grand in Euro. And yeah, serious it was but it's not really an everyday occurrence, so don't sweat over it just yet. In regards to your next question, I thought my brake pads were worn too when I saw the warning lights, but the mechanic confirmed it was the DSC/ABS and got them sorted the same time as the control unit was replaced. Other than that, my ride's been treating me well... knock on wood. Remember, your platina might have a different story, so let a trustworthy mechanic dive into it. Good luck with everything, and keep us in the loop! Cheers!

Hey, Big thanks for digging out the details and sharing them. A grand in Euro does sound steep but if it's a rarity, I'd consider it unpredictable car stuff that just happens! Got ya on the brake pads — may be a separate condition, eh? A big shout-out to your ride. Hope it keeps serving you well. As you recommended, I think I'll bring my Platina to a mechanic I can trust. Should set my mind at ease. Oh, and I'll definitely keep you posted, don't worry! Thanks again for the hearty support. Cheers!

Hey, I had a pretty similar issue with my 2003 Nissan Sentra. Ran around about the same mileage as yours when the warning lights started popping up. I took it to my regular garage and after a thorough look, the mechanic pointed out it was a problem with my DSC/ABS control unit, not the brakes. Not to scare you but it was a bit of a serious issue. They had to replace the unit in its entirety. But it wasn't very common, mind you, these units getting defective are rare. So, take your Platina to a trustworthy mechanic, have them diagnose the problem closely, and see what they say. Don't jump the gun assuming it's the same issue. Hope this helps you out. Good luck with your ride!
