Hey there, it really sounds like we're on the same rough road. Sorry to hear about those troubles with your Lexus GS Hybrid. So the malfunctioning injector turned out to be the culprit for you as well, huh? I had my suspicions this issue was an all too familiar demon. Btw, do you happen to remember the price tag on fixing that annoyance? And since it's been fixed, any other troubles popped up or was it smooth sailing ever since? Every penny counts and I'm trying to get a ballpark figure here to brace myself appropriately. Of course, I'll have it checked out at a reliable garage first thing tomorrow, not taking any chances. Thanks for your two cents, much appreciated!
Hey back at you! Yeah, it seems like this demon isn't picky about where it wreaks its havoc, right? As for your query, I recall parting with a good chunk of my earnings - about 515 Euro, and boy, it was a necessary evil. That naughty little injector needed internal repairs. Since then, my Lexus has been back to purring like a kitten, no black smoke or any of the nasty symptoms. Pricey repair, but totally worth it. Besides, you can't put a price tag on peace of mind. Definitely, get your lady checked at a decent garage, and hopefully, you'll be able to kick this injector issue to the curb! Take care of your beaut!
Hey, once again! Haha, yeah, this injector issue sure seems like a recurring nightmare, really. Hmm, alright, the 515 Euro tidbit does give me a ballpark range even if it's not directly translatable to what I might end up shelling out here. But that's definitely helpful as an estimate, cheers for that! It's comforting to know that your kitty's back on her feet after you tamed that wild injector issue. Can't agree more on the peace of mind bit. So, will definitely be getting her to a trusted mechanic in the morning. Fingers crossed it's nothing too serious and won't burn a bigger hole in my pocket. Cheers again for your input, really appreciate it! I'll treat my baby right, don't you worry. She'll be back on track soon!
Hey, sounds like we're in the same boat. Sad about your 2013 Lexus LS Hybrid though, those are nice. I own a 2010 Lexus GS Hybrid. Had the same symptoms; black smoke, hard to start, jerky engine, the whole package. The injector came up as the problem in the diagnosis too. Turns out it was internally defective. that was annoying. I won't talk about price, as you asked, but serious, oh yes it was. A malfunctioning injector disrupts the engine's fuel-air mixture, and that can lead to severe engine damage if not addressed promptly. My Lexus turned out to have severe internal damages, and it needed a lot of work. So yeah, pretty major issue. Take it to a dependable mechanic. Even if it doesn't seem crucial, don't wait too long. From my experience, these symptoms could escalate. Take care of that Lexus.
