Hey, thanks for sharing your experience with your Kia Soul, really appreciate it! The faulty connection thing sounds a lot like what I've been feeling with my Venga. I'm curious though, do you still remember roughly what it cost you to fix the issue? Also, have you noticed any other related issues cropping up since then? Fingers crossed it's a one-off fix! Cheers!
Hey! No problem at all, glad to share. About the cost, I recall that it set me back around 155€. That was for getting the dodgy cable connection from the sensor sorted out. To give you a bit of good news, since that fix, I haven't had any other related problems! My Kia's been running smoothly and the outdoor temperature sensor's been behaving perfectly since it saw the mechanic. So, I'd say it's fairly likely to be a one-off fix in my experience. Bonus is, the proper heating/cooling has been a real comfort since that was all sorted. Hope this puts your mind at ease a little! Good luck with getting your Venga back in top shape!
That's a relief to hear! Thanks so much for sharing your experience and giving me an idea about the cost as well. Nice to hear it's likely a one-off fix too. Your reassurance really put my mind at ease. I’ll definitely get it checked out straight away at the garage. I'm looking forward to having my Venga's heating/cooling back to being dependable! Thanks again for all your help and advice, cheers!
Hey there! I can understand your confusion; car problems can be a real head-scratcher sometimes! I own a 2017 Kia Soul and I had a pretty similar issue last year. My blower acting up, weird warnings popping up - all the good stuff. It turned out to be a defective cable connection from the sensor. I'm not a mechanic either. I actually found out about the problem after getting it checked out in the garage. Turns out the issue was with the connection from the temperature sensor to the car's computer. The mechanic explained that because of this faulty connection, the computer was getting wrong readings, which led to the heating/cooling going haywire and those weird warning lights. Just for the peace of your mind, it wasn't a catastrophic issue but ignoring it wasn't really an option either. It did cause discomfort, especially in terms of climate control. So, I would recommend having it checked out as soon as you can. Hope this helps good luck with your Kia!
