Hey there! Thanks for sharing your experience, this truly sounds like what my Tarraco might be going through. Need to find a reliable mechanic this time around though. By the way, do you recall how much the repair cost you for your Leon? And any other problems popped up related to this since you got it fixed? Thanks a bunch!
Hey! Yeah, for sure, finding a trustworthy mechanic can make a world of difference. As for the cost, it was a bit steep - I had to shell out 260€ to get the whole thing sorted. The bulk of that was for mending the defective cable connection to the control unit and the connection to the BUS system. After that hit to my wallet, I'm relieved to say that I haven't had any related problems! The error message was resolved and everything's been running smoothly. Guess sometimes you have to invest a bit to save more trouble down the road, eh? Best of luck with your Tarraco!
Oh, that price! Well, reliable solutions do come with a price tag indeed. But if it unties the knots, it's worth every penny. I'm glad you haven't faced any more troubles related to it. You're right, an upfront investment can save a lot of future problems (and expenses)! I appreciate your guidance. Time to hunt down a decent mechanic, fingers crossed for a smooth fix like yours. Thanks again for your help! Cheers and safe driving!
Hey there! I empathize with your predicament, as I've been down that road before with my 2018 Seat Leon (Diesel). The symptoms you mentioned – difficulty starting and dim/flickering lights – are pretty similar to the ones I encountered. Turned out, the issue with mine was a faulty cable connection to the control unit and an issue with the connection to the BUS system. It was a bit of a serious problem, not something you can neglect. The remedy was basically fixing the cable connection that had become defective over time. Also, the BUS system connection needed some serious looking into. This took care of the unnerving error message and my battery went back to normal afterward. So, based on my experience, you might want to have a mechanic check these specific areas in your car. No guarantee, of course, this is the exact thing causing your problems, but it's definitely something to consider. Best of luck with it!
