370Z fuel consumption and stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Nissan 370Z is experiencing higher fuel consumption, reduced engine power, stalling at idle, and smoke during acceleration. The initial suspicion is a problem with the injection system, possibly due to a defective cable or plug connection. Suggestions include checking the air intake system for blockages and considering fuel contamination. Ultimately, a faulty plug connection was identified and repaired at a workshop.

Thanks for the reply. I haven't checked the air intake yet, but I will. What exactly was the issue with your 370Z? Was it definitely the injection system, and what fixed it?

Well, I am no expert, but I remember that I also considered checking the fuel injectors. But to be honest, I took it to a workshop because I didn't have the right tools. They fixed it quickly.

Appreciate the insight. I'll check the air intake as a first step, but after that, a workshop looks like the best bet. Just got it back - faulty plug connection, 95€ repair.

Hey, I've got a 370Z too, and your symptoms sound familiar. I had similar problems with fuel consumption and stalling. Did you check the air intake system for any blockages? Maybe also see if your petrol isn't contaminated?
