Hey! That story sounds oddly familiar! The same thing happened to my Hyundai i40 a while back - those darn ABS warning lights and all. Glad your Sonata is back up and running like a dream! So your trouble was an ASC relay defect, eh? How bad was the hit to your wallet when you got it sorted? Quoting a of mine, "Car problems begin from the pocket!” And has anything else cropped up since you got it fixed? Hoping to hear from you soon! Dudette needs her ride back. Cheers!
Hey Dudette! You're not wrong about car problems starting in the pocket, I swear sometimes it feels like my car is eating my cash faster than I can earn it. But hey, gotta love 'em right? So, about the issue with the ASC system, good news - it wasn't as pricey as I feared. Got my run-around back on the road for a cool 90.00 €. They replaced the dodgy ASC relay and that was it, sorted! The old girl's been behaving like a dream since, no more jittery ABS system or funky warning lights, touch wood. I've always maintained, find yourself a good mechanic you can trust and half your car troubles will vanish. Hang in there, your Hyundai i40 will soon be just like a reliable old again. Ride on!
Oh, blimey! Now that's some real relief! Knowing that it's not going to leave a gaping hole in my pocket does take a bit of burden off. What's 90.00 € compared to the peace of not having those blinking lights on my dashboard, right? Brilliant to hear your pride and joy is back prancing about without more problems. Got me feeling hopeful for my Hyundai i40 too. I’ll definitely heed your advice and hunt down a trustworthy mechanic, don't want to add to the "bad mechanic experiences" list. Thanks for the tips and the eases truly appreciate it. With a bit of luck (and a kinder mechanic), my wheels will be rolling smoothly again in no time. Cheers!
Hey, that sounds similar to an issue I had with my 2016 Hyundai Sonata. ABS warning light, weird funky warning lights, ah tell me about it! You might be on the right track with the ASC system, as that was the culprit for me. Last time I ended up at the garage, the boys diagnosed it as an ASC relay defect. From what I understand, that relay is what's responsible for the correct operation of your ABS/DSC system. Now, don't start panicking, it's not as serious as it sounds, but still quite important to deal with as soon as you can. In my case, they had to replace the faulty relay, which meant a bit of work under the hood. After that, she was back to running smooth. I've had no further issues, and it's been a couple thousand clicks since then. Don't let one bad mechanic experience deter you, there's good ones out there. You got this! Cheers!
