Altima defective sun blind
Summary of the thread
The 2013 Nissan Altima has a defective sun blind that fails to retract or extend properly, often getting stuck. The issue is likely due to a malfunctioning motor, as indicated by a stored error in the error memory and a whirring noise without movement. The suggested solution is to have the motor repaired or replaced at a workshop, with an expected cost of around 330€.

Yes, that is exactly what is happening. The motor seems to be running, but the blind itself does not move. Is that similar to your experience?

Yep, pretty much the same. I'd bet money the motor's shot. I tried fixing it myself, but gave up and took it to a shop. Cost me around 330€. Worth it to just get it sorted.

Thank you for the information. I suspected as much. I will take it to a workshop for repair and expect costs of about 330€.

Sounds like the same problem I had with my Altima. Was the sunshade just making a whirring noise but not moving?
