Aveo weak heating

Hey, having trouble with my 2013 Chevrolet Aveo, gasoline engine. The heat output is super low, especially now. I scanned it and got an error code for the water valve. I checked it visually, and I think the cable or plug might be bad. Mileage is at 121541 km. Anyone else seen this?

Summary of the thread

A 2013 Chevrolet Aveo is experiencing weak heating, and a diagnostic scan revealed an error code related to the water valve. The issue might be due to a faulty cable or plug, or a partially blocked water valve, which can restrict coolant flow and reduce heat output without causing the engine to overheat. It is suggested to have a workshop inspect and possibly repair the water valve to resolve the heating issue.

I drive an Aveo too, not sure the year though. Sounds like what happened to me when my water valve was partially blocked. Is your engine overheating at all?

Thanks! No overheating, the temp gauge seems normal. Could a blocked water valve cause weak heat without overheating? And is it hard to get to?

Mine only overheated slightly under heavy load. A blockage can restrict coolant enough to affect the heat without major overheating. I'd have a workshop check it out. Better safe than sorry.

Thanks, I'll take it to my mechanic. They quoted 95€ for the repair, which seems fair. Appreciate the help!
