Aveo weak heating
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Chevrolet Aveo is experiencing weak heating, and a diagnostic scan revealed an error code related to the water valve. The issue might be due to a faulty cable or plug, or a partially blocked water valve, which can restrict coolant flow and reduce heat output without causing the engine to overheat. It is suggested to have a workshop inspect and possibly repair the water valve to resolve the heating issue.

Thanks! No overheating, the temp gauge seems normal. Could a blocked water valve cause weak heat without overheating? And is it hard to get to?

Mine only overheated slightly under heavy load. A blockage can restrict coolant enough to affect the heat without major overheating. I'd have a workshop check it out. Better safe than sorry.

Thanks, I'll take it to my mechanic. They quoted 95€ for the repair, which seems fair. Appreciate the help!

I drive an Aveo too, not sure the year though. Sounds like what happened to me when my water valve was partially blocked. Is your engine overheating at all?
