Beat parking aid malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Chevrolet Beat's parking aid system has stopped working, displaying a 'Parking assistant without function' message. The issue might be due to a defective cable or plug connection affecting the radar or blind spot sensors. Suggested solutions include checking the fuse box for blown fuses, cleaning the bumper sensors, and considering professional assistance if these steps don't resolve the problem.

Thanks for the quick reply! It's completely dead, not intermittent at all. I haven't checked the fuse box yet – good call, I'll add that to the list. Where exactly are the parking aid fuses located? And when you say 'sensors,' are you referring to the ones in the bumpers used for obstacle detection?

Yep, the sensors in the bumpers. Those are the ones. As for the fuse location, check your owner's manual; it should have a diagram. Honestly, though, if it's completely dead and not just a dirty sensor, and you've checked the fuse, it might be worth taking it to a workshop. My issue ended up being a corroded connector, and chasing that down myself was a pain.

Okay, appreciate the advice! I'll check the fuses and give the sensors a good cleaning. But if that doesn't solve it, I'll head to the workshop. They quoted me around 95€ to fix it, which seems reasonable. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!

Hey, I had something similar happen on my Beat. Is it intermittent, or completely dead? Have you checked the fuse box? Sometimes a blown fuse can knock out the whole system. Also, give the sensors a quick wipe; occasionally, they just get gunked up with dirt and grime.
