Berlingo DPF Issue

My 2013 Citroen Berlingo diesel has power loss and smoke at 248807 km. Diagnostics say it's the DPF. Has anyone else had DPF problems? Is cleaning a short-term fix, or is replacement needed? Could a faulty sensor be the cause?

Reduced power and smoke? Sounds familiar! I drive a Berlingo as well. Could your DPF be clogged? Have you checked the engine light?

Yes, the engine light is on, along with power reduction and smoke. Did you have similar symptoms with your Berlingo? What did you do, and what were the costs?

Yup, pretty much the same. Tried a DPF clean but it came back after a week. Bit the bullet and went to a workshop in the end. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

Thanks for sharing. Seems a workshop visit is needed. Further investigation indicates DPF replacement. It cost me 1550€.
