C1 Sunroof Initialization Error

I'm having a problem with my 2011 Citroen C1 (gasoline engine). I'm getting a 'sunroof not initialized' error. The sunblind is stuck, and the convertible top won't open or close. I think coding might be the cause. Anyone seen this?

Summary of the thread

A 2011 Citroen C1 owner experienced a 'sunroof not initialized' error, causing the sunblind to be stuck and the convertible top to malfunction. The issue was suspected to be related to recent ECU coding. A workshop diagnosed the problem as a corrupted sunroof module configuration due to the coding and resolved it by re-initializing the system. The solution restored full functionality to the sunroof.

Hey. I had something similar with my C1's sunroof. Does the error show up right away, or only when you try to use the sunroof? My blind jammed first, then the whole system died. Was the coding related to the roof?

Thanks. The error appears as soon as I start the car. The coding wasn't for the sunroof, it was for the ECU. Could that still affect the sunroof?

Ah, right. ECU coding can mess with other systems. Mine needed a software reset. I'd suggest a workshop with diagnostic tools. They can re-initialize the sunroof and check for fault codes. Save yourself the trouble.

Thanks for the advice. I went to a workshop. They said the sunroof module configuration was corrupted because of the coding and re-initialized it. It cost 75€. Everything works now. Thanks again!
