C3 ABS and Steering Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Citroen C3 diesel is experiencing multiple issues: a low tire pressure warning, ABS light activation, steering wheel vibration, and increased steering effort. Initially suspected as a slow puncture, the problem persisted despite consistent tire pressure readings. The symptoms suggest a potential faulty tire pressure sensor or a more serious linked system issue. The resolution involved identifying a defective tire valve causing a slow leak, which also impacted the ABS, and was resolved at a garage.

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, I did inspect the tires visually. I couldn't spot any obvious punctures or sidewall damage. Could it be a faulty tire pressure sensor, or something more serious? What was the resolution in your case?

Given the additional symptoms you're experiencing, especially the ABS and power steering issues, it's potentially more than just a faulty sensor. In my case, it turned out to be a defective valve in one of the tires causing a slow pressure loss that the TPMS was picking up on. However, since you have other warnings, I'd strongly recommend taking it to a workshop. Could be a linked system issue.

Understood, I appreciate the advice. I'll get it booked into the local garage ASAP. It was indeed the tire valve, causing a very slow leak, but also impacting the ABS. Repair cost 280€.

That's a strange combination of symptoms! I had a somewhat similar experience with my C3, although it didn't involve the ABS light. The low tire pressure warning kept popping up, even though the pressure seemed fine when I checked it manually. Did you check the tire visually for any signs of damage?
