Thanks for the tip! I haven't had a chance to dig too deep yet, just a quick visual inspection. I'll check the connectors more thoroughly. The error code was pretty generic, just saying there was a fault in the massage seat circuit. Where exactly under the seat did you find the problem in your BMW?

On my BMW, it was near the motor that inflates the lumbar support bladders, a real pain to get to without removing the whole seat. Think of it like a garden hose that kinks - no water, no massage! Given your error code, it really does sound like a cable or plug connection issue, maybe a defective component. Honestly, tracing wiring issues can be a nightmare. If you are not comfortable with electrics, maybe it's time to go to the workshop. I ended up paying around 80€ back then.

Thanks! I appreciate the info. I checked the connectors and wiring as best I could, but couldn't find anything obvious. Bit the bullet and took it to my local mechanic. They confirmed it was a bad connector and charged me 95€ to fix it. At least the massage function is working again!

That's a bummer, especially in a car like that! I had a similar problem with the lumbar support in my old BMW 5 Series. Turned out to be a dodgy connector under the seat. Have you checked the wiring and connections under the seat? Sometimes they can get loose or corroded. Does the error code point to a specific part of the system?
