Camaro MAF Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Chevrolet Camaro is experiencing issues such as higher fuel consumption, engine stalling at idle, a check engine light, and smoke on acceleration, suspected to be caused by a defective mass air flow (MAF) sensor. These symptoms align with a faulty MAF sensor, which can disrupt the air-fuel ratio and lead to performance decline. The recommended solution is to have the vehicle checked by a mechanic, and in this case, replacing the MAF sensor resolved the issues.

Yeah, definitely noticed a performance decline. How did you confirm it was the MAF sensor?

The symptoms were pretty much identical, and a mechanic confirmed it. Honestly, best to just get it checked out at a decent workshop.

Thanks, appreciate the input. Ended up being exactly that – MAF sensor. Cost 365€ to replace. Runs like new now.

Hey, I've got a Camaro too, though not the same year. Those symptoms sound familiar. Was the air-fuel ratio off? Did you notice any performance decline along with the fuel economy drop?
