Camaro Power Window Failure
Summary of the thread
After replacing the battery in a 2002 Chevrolet Camaro, the power windows stopped functioning, and an error regarding window regulator initialization appeared. This issue may be due to the window regulator losing its settings, requiring a reset to relearn the window travel limits. While a reset can sometimes be done without special tools, persistent issues may necessitate professional assistance to resolve the problem effectively.

Thanks for the quick response! How exactly do I reset the window regulator? Is this something I can do myself, or do I need special tools or software?

No special tools needed, usually. But sometimes, it just doesn't want to cooperate, and you are stuck with the error. I tried the reset procedure multiple times to no avail. Ended up taking it to a workshop; they sorted it out pretty quickly. It’s probably worth checking for broken wires in the door panel first, but I'd say take it to a professional. It will save you time and headache.

Appreciate the advice! Sounds like a trip to the shop is in order. It ended up costing 290€, but at least the windows are working again!

Hey there! I've got a Camaro too and had a similar issue after disconnecting the battery. Sounds like your window regulator lost its mind. It needs to relearn its limits. Did you try resetting it? Basically, you need to teach the car where the top and bottom of the window travel are.
