Speedometer seems okay, so far. But interesting you mention the ABS sensor – the diagnostics didn't specifically point to that, but maybe that's feeding bad data to the control unit? Was your Volvo repair expensive? I was quoted around 1000€ for this, and I’m quite salty about this diagnostic.

Ugh, a grand? Ouch. My Volvo ended up needing a new ABS pump/module, which was a painful bill. If the speedometer is fine, it might not be the sensors themselves, but who knows? Honestly, with that kind of money on the line and the complexity of the ABS, you should probably take it to a reliable workshop before you do any damage by yourself.

Yeah, you're right. Thanks for the advice! I'm resigned to taking it in. Just got off the phone with the mechanic, they said they'll start by inspecting the control unit itself – hopefully, that fixes it.

Sounds familiar! I had similar ABS and traction control lights popping up on my old Volvo V70. Is your speedometer still working correctly? And did it affect engine input or anything besides the ABS? For me, it was a faulty ABS sensor throwing everything off!
