Camry Hybrid Fuel Consumption Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Toyota Camry Hybrid is experiencing increased fuel consumption and poor starting performance. The accelerator pedal module, huh? I hadn't considered that. I'll give it a look. What exactly was wrong with yours? Any specific symptoms beyond the rough starts and fuel consumption?

Yeah, the module itself was defective. The car would sometimes hesitate when accelerating, too. Honestly, it was all a bit erratic. In the end, I bit the bullet and took it to a workshop. They confirmed the module was faulty and replaced it. Cost me around 205€. You might save yourself some hassle and get it checked out properly.

Appreciate the info. Sounds like that could be the issue. I'll take your advice and get it checked out. I had it repaired. New accelerator pedal module. Exactly 205€. Thanks again!

Interesting. I've got a Camry Hybrid too, though I can't remember what year it is offhand. I had a similar issue last year – rough starts and drinking fuel like it was going out of style. Did you check the accelerator pedal module? That was the culprit in my case. Seriously messed with the air intake and engine throttle. How does the control valve look?
