Captiva electric windows failure
Summary of the thread
The electric windows on a 2013 Chevrolet Captiva diesel stopped working, with an OBD scanner showing a window regulator error. The issue could be due to a faulty window regulator or switch. Given the sudden failure and error code, it is likely a regulator motor problem. It is recommended to have a professional handle the repair due to the complexity of accessing and replacing the motor.

No unusual sounds before they stopped. Just the error code. Was it a difficult fix? Trying to see if it's DIY or mechanic-only.

Turned out to be the regulator motor. It's not straightforward. Accessing the motor means removing the door panel and dealing with the window mechanism, which is tricky. Given your error code and sudden failure, you likely have the same problem. Get it checked by a pro to avoid damage or injury.

Understood. Seems a workshop visit is inevitable. Got a quote for around 200€, which seems reasonable for replacing the window regulator.

I had a similar issue with my Captiva recently when all the windows stopped working. Did you hear any clicking or grinding sounds before they quit?
