Caravan Intake Manifold Leak
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Nissan Caravan diesel is experiencing jerking on acceleration, a check engine light, reduced power, stalling at idle, rough running, and a strong exhaust smell at 207,205 km. These symptoms suggest a potential intake manifold issue, possibly due to scorching. A similar issue was resolved by addressing a vacuum leak on the intake manifold, which can warp over time due to heat. The problem was confirmed and repaired at a workshop.

Vacuum leak makes sense. Where exactly was the leak on your Vivaro? Was it also related to the intake manifold?

Yeah, the leak was on the intake manifold itself. Apparently, they can warp over time, especially with heat. But it's best to get it checked at a workshop.

Thanks! Took it to the shop; you were spot on. Intake manifold was leaking due to scorching. Repair cost me 1180€. Appreciate the help.

Those are nasty symptoms! Had similar on my old 2016 Opel Vivaro – jerking, check engine light, the works. Turned out to be a vacuum leak. Have you checked the manifold sensor?
