Chevrolet Move Boost Pressure Actuator Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Chevrolet Move with a gasoline engine is experiencing a check engine light, power loss, a whistling noise, and poor fuel economy, with a diagnostic pointing to a boost pressure actuator fault. The symptoms suggest potential issues with the turbo actuator or an electrical bypass valve. After considering possible causes like boost leaks and inspecting hoses, the problem was resolved by replacing the actuator valve at a workshop, restoring the car's performance.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Thanks for the quick reply! I did a visual inspection of the hoses, but everything seems to be connected properly. I'm leaning towards the turbo actuator itself being faulty, maybe sticking or just not responding correctly. Did yours eventually stall at idle, and was your fuel economy noticeably worse too? How did you solve it?

Yeah, stalling was infrequent, but happened a few times. The fuel consumption was definitely higher than normal. Honestly, I poked around a bit, but I'm not really a mechanic. I ended up taking mine to a workshop. They replaced the actuator valve, and it fixed everything.

Thanks a million for the info! Sounds like I'm on the right track then. I was trying to avoid taking it to a shop, but it seems inevitable now. The bypass valve is probably the culprit as suspected... Got it fixed at a local workshop for 250€. It was indeed the electrical bypass valve. Car runs smooth now!

I had something similar happen with my Move. Check engine light, power loss, the whole shebang. I didn't hear a whistle, but the hissing sound was definitely there when I put my foot down. Did you check for any obvious boost leaks? Maybe a hose came loose or something?
