Chevrolet Traverse Transport Mode and Electrical Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Chevrolet Traverse is experiencing 'Transport mode active' and general electrical malfunctions, including a non-functional navigation system. Transport mode is typically used during vehicle shipping to preserve the battery and should have been deactivated upon delivery. The issue may involve the Body Control Module (BCM) and could require professional diagnostic tools to resolve. It is advised to take the vehicle to a workshop for proper diagnosis and deactivation of transport mode.

Diagnostic check, yes. But what exactly am I looking for in the vehicle settings? Any specific parameters or something?

Right, so 'Transport mode' locks down certain electrical functions. It sounds like it wasn't properly deactivated before delivery. Honestly, this can cause all sorts of weirdness with the BCM (Body Control Module). I would not fiddle with it and just take it to a workshop. They need to use a proper diagnostic tool to disable it. I'd hate to see you brick something.

Appreciate the input. I will take it to the shop, as you suggested. Thank you!

Transport mode, huh? That's usually for when they ship the car to the dealership to preserve the battery. But since the car is new, it should not be enabled at all. Have you tried a diagnostic check? Maybe something is blocking the engine start or is related to the immobilizer. Double-check all vehicle settings, I wonder if a fuse is blown?
