Thank you for your reply. Regarding your experience, did the error message also indicate a brake booster pressure sensor fault, or was it a different error code? Also, did you notice a consistent reduction in braking performance, or was it intermittent? I am trying to determine if the symptoms align closely enough to suggest a similar underlying cause.

Yes, it was the same error code for the brake booster pressure sensor. And the reduced braking performance was pretty consistent, not intermittent. It got progressively worse over a few days. Honestly, I wouldn't mess with the brake system yourself if you are not 100 percent sure what you are doing. Brakes are pretty important for vehicle safety. I took mine to a workshop, and they sorted it out quickly enough. Best of luck.

I have a Citan too, although I can't remember the year. I think I had something similar happen a while back. You mention the brake booster pressure sensor. From what I understand, that sensor measures the vacuum in the brake booster. The brake booster itself uses engine vacuum to provide power assist to the brakes. So, when you press the brake pedal, the booster multiplies the force you apply. If the sensor fails, or the vacuum is low, you lose that assist. Was the brake pedal hard to press? That's what happened to me. If the brake system was bled incorrectly, that could introduce air, which might affect the pressure. But I am not sure if that would cause the sensor to fail completely. I am no expert, but that's my understanding.
