Citroen C1 engine issues

My 2017 Citroen C1, gasoline engine, is showing some worrying signs at 33491 km. The check engine light is on, engine power seems reduced, and there's visible smoke when accelerating. I suspect a crankcase ventilation valve malfunction, based on the symptoms. Has anyone else experienced something similar with this engine?

That sounds familiar! I had something similar happen on my C1. Not sure about the year, but the symptoms were almost identical. Did you notice any oil leaks?

I haven't noticed any obvious oil leaks, but I also haven't specifically checked for them. Where would I typically see a leak if it's related to the crankcase ventilation?

Mine didn't have obvious leaks either, but the garage said it was leaking internally. Considering your symptoms, and the fact I had the same issue, I'd suggest getting it checked by a professional. Probably the PCV valve.

Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it. I will take it to a reputable shop tomorrow for inspection. It seems like I will need to replace the crankcase ventilation valve. They quoted around 360€ for the repair. Hopefully that fixes it.
