Citroen C1 engine issues
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Citroen C1 with a gasoline engine is experiencing issues such as the check engine light being on, reduced engine power, and visible smoke during acceleration. The suspected cause is a malfunctioning crankcase ventilation valve. A similar issue was resolved by replacing the PCV valve, and it is advised to have the vehicle inspected by a professional to confirm and address the problem.

I haven't noticed any obvious oil leaks, but I also haven't specifically checked for them. Where would I typically see a leak if it's related to the crankcase ventilation?

Mine didn't have obvious leaks either, but the garage said it was leaking internally. Considering your symptoms, and the fact I had the same issue, I'd suggest getting it checked by a professional. Probably the PCV valve.

Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it. I will take it to a reputable shop tomorrow for inspection. It seems like I will need to replace the crankcase ventilation valve. They quoted around 360€ for the repair. Hopefully that fixes it.

That sounds familiar! I had something similar happen on my C1. Not sure about the year, but the symptoms were almost identical. Did you notice any oil leaks?
