Thank you for your swift response. Regarding the connections, are there any specific areas I should focus on Are there common failure points within the cruise control system's wiring or connectors that I should inspect more closely I am wondering if there's a way to fix the non-functional cruise control myself.

Specific areas Well, without a proper scan tool, it's tough to pinpoint. But yeah, connections near the wheel speed sensors and the engine control unit (ECU) are prime suspects. Honestly though, with a malfunction like that triggering error codes, chasing wires can be a rabbit hole. Is it really worth the hassle Probably best to get it to a workshop, they can properly diagnose it.

I appreciate your input. I took your advice and had the vehicle inspected at a workshop. As you suspected, it was a defective cable/plug connection. The repair cost me 95€. Now the cruise control works as expected. Thank you once again.
