Colorado Diesel Injector Issue

Hey, I'm having a nightmare with my 2015 Chevy Colorado diesel. It's got about 204317 km on the clock. The check engine light keeps popping on, and the engine's running really rough. I had the error codes read, and it's showing something about 'reset quantity drift compensation'. Anyone ever dealt with this? Could it be a bad injector? I'm losing my mind trying to figure this out. Is this going to kill my fuel economy?

Rough running and check engine light, huh? Sounds familiar. I had something similar happen with my Colorado. Was it throwing any specific codes related to the injectors? Mine was doing the same thing, and it turned out to be a pain to diagnose. Have you tried any onboard diagnostics or a system reset?

Yeah, the code pointed towards a potential injector issue, but I'm not sure which one, or if it's even the injector itself. What exactly did you have to do to fix it? Was it a simple reset procedure, or did you have to replace parts? How did you even figure out what was wrong?

Okay, so it does sound like what I experienced. If you're getting injector-related codes and rough running, it might be a defective injector. Honestly, I ended up taking mine to a workshop. It was beyond my skill level. They ran some proper tests and confirmed it. Best bet is to get it properly diagnosed to avoid just throwing parts at it. Trust me, been there, done that, got the lighter wallet to prove it.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I think I'll bite the bullet and take it to a mechanic. Probably for the best, especially if it involves fuel injection. They quoted me about 515€, which I think is alright. Hopefully, that'll sort it out. I was fearing the worst. Really appreciate the help!
