Colorado Electric Steering Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Chevrolet Colorado owner experienced an issue with the electric steering column adjustment, which stopped functioning and displayed an error. Despite checking the fuses, the problem persisted. A suggestion was made to inspect the cable or plug connections near the steering column motor, as these are common failure points. Ultimately, the issue was resolved by a workshop, which identified and fixed a loose connector.

Interesting. Where exactly should I be looking for these cable or plug connections? Is it something easily accessible or am I going to be contorting myself under the dash?

It's under the dash, near the steering column motor. Honestly, unless you're really comfortable with auto electrics, it's probably worth taking it to a workshop. They can diagnose it properly and fix it without causing more damage.

Thanks for the advice! Sounds like I'm in over my head a bit. Took it to the shop and you were spot on - loose connector. They charged me 95€ to fix it. Appreciate the help!

I had a similar issue with my Colorado. Could be a defective cable or plug connection. The electric steering adjustment system isn't very robust.
