DS5 Headlight Washer Failure
Summary of the thread
The headlight washer system on a 2011 Citroen DS5 stopped working, and subsequently, the windscreen washers also failed. Initial checks of the fuses showed no issues, leading to questions about a separate pump or relay for the headlight washers. Suggestions included checking for a blocked line, a dead pump, or a common power supply issue. Ultimately, the problem was identified as a faulty cable connection to the headlight washer pump, which was repaired at a local garage.

I don't recall hearing the headlight washer pump specifically, to be honest. Where is the relay or connection for the pumps typically located? Any chance a bad earth could cause this?

Relay is often in the engine bay fuse box; check the manual for its exact location. A bad earth could definitely cause issues, but I still suspect the pump itself. With that mileage, and both systems failing around the same time, I'd suggest having someone check the voltage to the pump, and possibly the pump itself.

Turned out to be a faulty cable connection to the headlight washer pump. Cost 165€ to get sorted at a local garage. All working fine now.

Sounds like a blocked line or a dead pump. The headlight washer pump is separate from the windscreen one. Given both are now out, I'd lean towards a common power supply or a blockage affecting both. Did you hear the pump working before?
