Epica Cruise Control Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Chevrolet Epica experienced a cruise control failure with no warning lights. Initial checks of fuses and wires yielded no results. A suggestion was made to inspect the brake lights and consider a faulty brake light switch or a bad connection, such as the clock spring. Ultimately, a workshop scan revealed a defective cable connection, which was repaired, resolving the issue.

Interesting about the brake lights! I'll double-check those. The dashboard light doesn't come on at all when I try to use the cruise control. Does that point to a specific culprit, in your experience?

Yep, no light at all points to something upstream, like a bad connection or the clock spring. Honestly, without proper diagnostics, you're just guessing. I'd suggest getting it scanned at a workshop. Could be a defective cable or plug connection. They should be able to pinpoint it quickly.

Thanks a bunch for the advice! Turns out you were right; it was indeed a defective cable connection. I took it to a workshop, they scanned it and found the issue in no time. Repair cost me 95€, and now my cruise control is working perfectly again!

I had a similar cruise control issue on my Epica. First thing, did you check your brake lights? A faulty brake light switch can disable the cruise control. Also, does the cruise control dashboard light even come on when you try to engage it?
