Equinox low coolant warning

I have a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox with a gasoline engine. Recently, the check engine light came on, and when I checked the error memory, it indicated a low coolant level. The mileage is 147308 km. What could be the cause?

Summary of the thread

A 2014 Chevrolet Equinox displayed a check engine light due to a low coolant level warning. Potential causes for this issue include a faulty radiator cap, visible leaks around the radiator, or a malfunctioning water pump. The problem was ultimately identified as a leaky radiator hose, which was repaired at a workshop.

I had a similar issue with my old Volvo. Check the usual suspects: radiator cap, any visible leaks around the radiator, and maybe even the water pump. Low coolant can trigger all sorts of warnings. Have you noticed any overheating?

Thanks! No overheating so far. Regarding the water pump, how can I check if that's the problem?

On my Volvo, there was a small weep hole on the pump. If it's leaking from there, it's likely the culprit. Honestly, with those symptoms, I'd get it checked by a workshop. Could be a head gasket issue too, but let's hope not.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to the workshop, and it turned out to be a leaky radiator hose. Repair cost was 52€ Appreciate the help!
