Hey, thanks for the explanation! I guess I'm not the only one with this problem then, phew! Did you ever lose sleep when this happened to you? If so, can you remember how much it cost you to fix it? And have you had any other problems with your infotainment system or sat nav since then? Your answer would help me a lot!

Hey, no problem! I remember the bill was €155 for fixing a broken cable connection. Since the visit to the mechanic, the navigation device has been working perfectly again. On the subject of losing sleep - well, it was stressful, I admit. But since then everything has been tip-top, no further problems with the infotainment system or the navigation system. Hope that helps you!

Great, that reassures me. Thank you very much for your advice and experience! I think I'll take your advice to heart and have the car checked at another garage. 155 sounds fair for this kind of repair, especially if everything works perfectly again afterwards. Let's see if I'm as lucky as you. Thanks again, you've been a great help!

Exactly the same thing happened to me with my 2016 BMW X3 Diesel, only for me it was 45,000 km. There were difficulties in the infotainment system, just like yours. was also visible in my car. In the workshop, the entire audio system was finally removed and the navigation device was updated. It was a pretty serious matter, as there was obviously something very wrong with the software. The organization with the workshop caused me a lot of stress, but in the end everything was back in order and working perfectly. I would advise you to have it checked at another garage, maybe they already know this kind of problem. Good luck with that!
