It's a general heater error. I haven't checked the fuses yet, but I suspect the glow plug might be defective, as I've read about similar issues. Could a defective glow plug really cause the parking heater to fail completely?

Ah, a general error could mean a few things, but your glow plug suspicion is a solid hunch. Think of it like this: if the glow plug isn't heating up properly, it's like trying to start a campfire with wet wood. It might sputter, but it won't really get going. Given the error code and the heater's refusal to activate, it's quite possible the glow plug is the culprit. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to confirm. They can diagnose it properly and replace the plug if needed.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were right. It was indeed the glow plug. Repair cost me 440€. All sorted now.

Hey there! An auxiliary heater malfunction on your Fortuner, huh? Sounds like a chilly situation! Is the error message you're seeing anything specific, or just a general heater error? Also, have you checked the fuses? That's like checking if the circuit breaker tripped before calling an electrician!
