Frontier climate control panel dead
Summary of the thread
A 2000 Nissan Frontier's climate control panel is completely non-functional, with no lights or response from buttons, and an error stored in the system's memory. The problem might be due to defective cables or plug connections, as fuses have already been checked and found to be fine. A similar issue was resolved by addressing corroded electrical connectors behind the dash, suggesting that a professional workshop visit is advisable for proper diagnosis and repair.

Yeah, completely dead. No lights, no response from any of the buttons. I did check the fuses, and they all seem to be fine. Is that what your problem was, just a fuse?

Nah, it wasn't just a fuse for me. The fuses were fine too. It ended up being some corroded electrical connectors behind the dash. Honestly, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. They should be able to diagnose it properly.

Thanks for the advice! Looks like I will pay a visit to the workshop, then. Indeed, the estimate mentions the electrical connectors as you said. It looks like the final repair bill will be around 95€ which seems fair. I'll let you know how it goes!

Hmm, sounds familiar. I've got a Frontier too, though I can't remember the exact year, and I had some funky issues with my climate control a while back. Was yours completely dead, like no lights or anything? Did you check the fuses?
