Thanks for the quick reply! I have not checked the battery, but will do that first thing tomorrow. Is it possible to unlock the error memory? Or do I need special tools?

Unfortunately, in my case, just checking the battery wasn't enough. The error needed to be cleared by a workshop, which involved recalibrating the ECU (Engine Control Unit). I'd say it's best to take it to a professional; they've got the right tools and know-how. It's like trying to fix a complicated circuit board with a hammer – not a good idea!

Thanks! I appreciate the advice. I did check the battery and it seemed fine. I took it to a local shop, and they confirmed it was undervoltage that caused the memory lock. They cleared the error for 240€. Now the car works as expected.

Sounds frustrating! I had something similar happen with my old Renault Scenic. Turned out to be a glitch in the computer system due to low voltage. It's like when your phone acts weird when the battery is low. Have you checked your battery recently?
