Impala Fault Memory Lock Active
Summary of the thread
The 2013 Chevrolet Impala is experiencing a "fault memory lock active" issue, with the only symptom being an error stored in the error memory. The problem is suspected to be related to undervoltage or the control unit. A similar case was resolved by visiting a mechanic, where diagnostics confirmed undervoltage as the cause, leading to a repair.

Possibly. Did the error message specify anything about undervoltage or the control unit? I suspect that might be the culprit.

Now that you mention it, I do remember something about undervoltage. The workshop fixed it; diagnostics pointed towards the control unit. I would suggest you pay a visit to the mechanic.

Thanks for the info. Ended up being undervoltage indeed; cost me 240€. Car electronics diagnostics pointed straight at it.

I had something similar occur on my Impala, though I never figured out the root cause. Was it perhaps related to car electronics or the computer system?
