The sensors look clean, but I haven't taken them apart. Should I pull them and check the connections directly? Is that what you ended up doing with your Volvo?

Indeed, the sensors appeared clean on my Volvo as well. However, the problem persisted, and given the stored error and your symptoms, it's very likely a cable or plug connection issue. To avoid further costs and potential damage, I advise visiting a workshop.

Thanks for the tip. Took it to the shop, and you were spot on – faulty wiring in the parking sensor system. Cost me about 95€ to get it sorted. Appreciate the help!

I understand your frustration. I had a similar issue with my 2019 Volvo XC60 where the parking sensors went haywire. Did you check the radar sensors themselves? Are they clean and unobstructed?
