Koleos Tire Pressure Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Renault Koleos is experiencing issues with its tire pressure sensors, displaying a low tire pressure warning despite correct manual checks. An OBD scanner indicates a sensor fault. Possible causes include a dead sensor battery or a malfunctioning sensor. It is suggested to use a TPMS diagnostic tool, typically available at workshops, to confirm the issue. If the sensor battery is dead, replacing the sensor is recommended, and a visit to a Renault dealer for assessment is advised.

Thanks for the quick response! How can I check if all the sensors send a signal? I don't have any fancy tools, just the basic OBD scanner.

You'd need a TPMS diagnostic tool for that, which most workshops have. If the battery is indeed the problem, you will need to replace the sensor. I was quoted around 280€ for the replacement and programming. Your Renault dealer will be able to assess it quickly. It’s best to go there and let them check it.

Thanks a lot for the help! I suspected it might be the sensor, but I wasn't sure how to confirm it. I'll take it to the workshop and have them check it out. Appreciate the insight!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my old Opel Insignia. Same symptoms: low tire pressure warning despite the tires being properly inflated, and a persistent error code. Could be the sensor battery is dead. Have you checked if all sensors send a signal?
