Lexus LX Oil Pressure Warning Light

I'm having a problem with my 2018 Lexus LX with a gasoline engine. At about 52840 km, a warning light appeared on the speedometer, and the oil pressure light came on. I suspect engine oil contamination, but I haven't found the source. Has anyone else had this?

Summary of the thread

A 2018 Lexus LX owner experienced an oil pressure warning light at 52,840 km and suspected engine oil contamination. The issue was identified as oil sludge due to exceeding the maintenance interval. The solution involved an oil change and engine flush, which resolved the problem.

I had a similar issue with my LX, though I didn't catch it as early. Check your maintenance records. Could your service interval have been exceeded? That can cause serious oil sludge and pressure problems.

Thanks for the quick response. I'll check the records. If the maintenance interval was exceeded, what happened in your case? Did it cause lasting damage?

It wasn't good. Luckily, I caught it before any catastrophic damage. Get it to a workshop ASAP to have them assess the damage. Better safe than sorry.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I took your advice and visited a trusted workshop. It turned out the maintenance interval was exceeded, which led to oil sludge. After an oil change and engine flush, the issue seems resolved. The repair cost 165€.
