Lova Turbo Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Chevrolet Lova with 130,000 km is experiencing turbo issues, including reduced power, laggy response, a whistling noise, stalling at idle, and increased fuel consumption. The problem may be linked to the boost pressure actuator or a failing electrical bypass valve, which affects the turbo actuator and boost pressure. It is recommended to have the vehicle checked at a workshop to read the error code and inspect the pressure sensor, with a potential solution being the replacement of the turbo actuator.

Hmm, interesting. Electrical bypass valve, you say? Could a defective valve really cause all of that? Where exactly is that located in the turbo system?

Yes, a failing electrical bypass valve can definitely cause those problems. It's part of the turbo actuator and affects boost pressure. Given all the symptoms you described, it's likely the culprit. To be 100% sure, you should take it to a workshop and have them read the error code and check the pressure sensor.

Thanks a lot! Really appreciate it. That confirms my suspicion. I'll get it checked at a workshop and probably replace the turbo actuator. A new one costs around 250€. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!

Sounds familiar. I also own a Lova, though I'm not sure about the year. I had similar symptoms, although mine didn't stall. Have you checked the turbo actuator valve? Is the electrical bypass valve working properly?
