Malibu Terminal 15 Ignition Error
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Chevrolet Malibu is experiencing a no-start issue with an error message indicating 'Terminal 15 ignition positive interrupted.' The problem may be due to a defective cable or plug, potentially involving the ignition switch or wiring harness. Checking the battery, fuses, and relays is advised, as a similar issue was resolved by fixing a loose relay. Ultimately, the problem was identified as a defective connector cable, which was repaired at a local shop.

Thanks! I'll double-check the relays. I didn't install anything new recently. When you say 'similar issues,' was it also a no-start with the same error message about Terminal 15? Was it specifically a loose relay, or a burnt-out one?

Yep, same no-start, same error. Though, I didn't check the error code myself, but I took it to a local workshop and that's what they told me it was. After fixing the loose relay everything worked fine again. I would suggest taking it to a workshop.

Thanks again! I took it to a local shop, and you were right – it was a defective connector cable, just like the error suggested. The repair cost me 95€.

Sounds familiar. I had something similar happen with my Malibu. Check the fuse box under the hood, especially the relays. I had a relay that was loose and causing electrical issues. Did you recently install any aftermarket electronics?
