Matiz AC failure
Summary of the thread
The air conditioning in a 2005 Chevrolet Matiz stopped working, with the system not switching on and an error stored in the memory. Possible causes include a blown fuse, issues with the A/C relay, or undervoltage affecting the compressor's ability to engage. The blower motor still functions, indicating the problem might be electrical. It was suggested to check for undervoltage or pressure sensor issues, and ultimately, a workshop diagnosed and fixed an undervoltage problem.

Yep, blower is still blowing air. No other electrical issues that I've noticed. How would under voltage cause this? Could it really be the pressure sensor?

Okay, blower working is good info! Undervoltage can mess with the A/C because the compressor needs a certain voltage to kick on. Many systems have a low-voltage cutoff to protect the compressor from damage if the voltage is too low. Basically, the car's computer sees low voltage and says, "Nope, not turning that on!" It's a safety thing. The pressure sensor is tied to that; if it reads incorrectly due to voltage issues, the system won't start. Honestly, with the error code, it's probably best to take it to a workshop. They can properly diagnose the undervoltage issue and see if it's affecting the A/C system.

Thanks, man! You nailed it. It was the under voltage, and the workshop charged me 240€ to fix it!

Whoa, sounds frustrating! Before diving into fuses, let's consider a few things. When you say it doesn't switch on, do you mean the A/C compressor isn't engaging at all? And is the blower motor still working, pushing air through the vents, even if it's not cold? Also, have you noticed any recent electrical weirdness, like dimming lights or slow starting? The error code in the memory might point us in the right direction. Also check the AC relay, but be careful, electricity can be dangerous.
