Matiz AC Not Working
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Chevrolet Matiz owner reported that their air conditioning system wasn't working, with a fault stored in the error memory and a warning light on the speedometer. The issue was suspected to be a refrigerant leak. However, another Matiz owner suggested that a defective air conditioning control unit could prevent the compressor from starting. Upon visiting a mechanic, it was confirmed that the problem was indeed the AC control unit, which was subsequently repaired.

I haven't checked the pressure, I don't have the equipment. The compressor isn't making any noise, so I don't think it's kicking on. What was the problem with yours?

Mine had a defective air conditioning control unit. That prevented the AC compressor from starting, even though there was enough auto refrigerant. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to get it diagnosed properly.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I took it to a mechanic, and you were right, it was the AC control unit. Cost me 980€ to repair. Thanks again!

Hey! I also have a Matiz. Sounds like what happened to mine last summer. Does the compressor seem to be kicking on at all? Have you checked the refrigerant pressure?
