Maxima boost pressure sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Nissan Maxima experienced issues such as the check engine light, jerking during acceleration, whistling and hissing noises, stalling at idle, increased fuel consumption, and reduced engine power. These symptoms suggested a potential problem with the boost pressure sensor, possibly due to a defective cable or plug. After consulting with others and visiting a workshop, it was confirmed that the boost pressure sensor and a faulty connector were the causes, and replacing them resolved the issues.

Where exactly should I be looking for these boost leaks? I gave a quick look at the hoses around the turbocharger but didn't notice anything obvious.

Yeah, I checked mine as well, but nothing. Turned out it was the boost pressure sensor like you suspected. I would suggest you go to a workshop and have it checked. It could be the sensor itself or some wiring issue.

Thanks! I took it to a workshop, and you were spot on. It was indeed the boost pressure sensor and a faulty connector. Cost me 95€, but the car runs like new again!

Sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms with my Maxima. Have you checked for any boost leaks in the air intake system? That whistling and hissing might be a clue.
