Micra Battery Drain
Summary of the thread
A 2002 Nissan Micra diesel is experiencing rapid battery drain, weak and flickering lights, and difficulty starting. An error message appears on the speedometer, indicating a potential electrical issue. A possible cause identified is a faulty battery sensor, which can lead to parasitic drain. Replacing the battery sensor is suggested as a solution, and this has been confirmed by a workshop as a common issue with Micras.

Battery sensor, huh? Where exactly is that located, and how did you figure out that was the problem?

Yeah, the battery sensor. On mine, it was connected to the negative terminal of the battery. Honestly, I didn't figure it out myself. Took it to a workshop and they diagnosed it pretty quickly. They mentioned it's a common issue with Micras.

Alright, thanks for the tip! I'll get the battery sensor checked out. I took it to a workshop, they said the same thing, and replaced it for 315€. Hopefully, that'll solve the problem!

Sounds familiar. I've got a Nissan Micra too, though not the same year. Had similar issues with a rapidly discharging battery. Have you checked the battery sensor? That was the culprit in my case. It was causing a parasitic drain.
