Micra key fob battery issue
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Nissan Micra diesel owner experienced a "key battery low" warning, leading to malfunctioning keyless access and stored error codes. The issue was identified as a likely flat key fob battery. The suggested solution was to replace the battery with a CR2032 type, which resolved the problem, restoring normal function.

Good shout! I haven't replaced it since I got the car. Is it a common issue then? And will any battery do, or should I get a specific type for the auto key?

Yep, fairly common. Low voltage throws everything off. For the electronic key, you'll need a specific type – usually a CR2032. Best bet is to check your manual or pop the key open to see what's written on the old one. If that doesn't fix it, might be worth a trip to the workshop.

Cheers for the advice! Spot on – CR2032 battery sorted it. All working fine now. Cost me 37€ including the battery. Appreciate the help!

Sounds like it, yeah. When did you last replace the battery in your key fob? Have you tried using the physical key in the meantime?
