I'm experiencing a persistent headlight range control fault with my 2017 Mini Countryman Hybrid. An error is stored in the error memory, and a warning light is illuminated in the speedometer. Headlight range control fault, eh? Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my old Volvo – kept getting a headlight warning light. Did you check the electrical connectors to the headlight switch and the control module? Sometimes it's just a loose connection causing the beam adjustment to go haywire. Is the error consistently present, or does it come and go?

When you say 'control module', are you referring to the main ECU, or is there a separate control module specifically for the headlights? And when you had this issue on your Volvo, was it also due to a faulty servomotor?

Yep, sounds like the servomotor! On my Volvo, that's exactly what it was. A new headlight assembly sorted it out. Update for anyone experiencing a similar headlight malfunction with their Mini Countryman. As suspected, it was indeed a defective servomotor within the headlight assembly. The repair, including parts and labor, came to approximately 1040€. Now the beam adjustment is working perfectly again. Thanks for your help!
