Mini Paceman Brake Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Mini Paceman owner experienced weak brakes and an error message on the speedometer, diagnosed as a brake booster pressure sensor failure. The issue was suspected to be caused by incorrect bleeding of the brake system. The suggested solution was to have the vehicle professionally checked, which confirmed the sensor failure and resolved the problem.

Thanks for the quick reply Brake fluid is fine and ABS light is off Spongy is a good way to describe the pedal feel yes Where is the pressure sensor located And how did you figure out it was the sensor

Yep sounds like the same thing I'm no mechanic so I can't tell you exactly where the sensor sits but the workshop guys pointed it out to me They used some fancy diagnostic tools to pinpoint it I was getting error codes pointing to the hydraulic brakes system Given the poor braking effect especially in an emergency don't risk it Get it checked professionally Vehicle safety is paramount here

Whoa sounds familiar I had something similar happen with my Paceman Same error message and the brakes felt super weak Did you try checking the brake fluid level Is the ABS light also on For me it turned out to be a faulty pressure sensor related to the brake booster A bad bleed during a brake job can mess with those sensors Is the brake pedal feel spongy
