Thanks for the reply! I visually inspected the sensor, but didn't see anything obvious like cracks or corrosion. Where exactly was the problem in your case? Was it the sensor or the wiring?

Sounds familiar. I couldn't figure it out myself. I ended up taking it to a workshop. They were able to pinpoint the exact issue with the sensor circuit and fix the connection.

Ok, understood. I appreciate the advice. I'll take it to a workshop. The error code and low heating output pointed towards the solar sensor too. The final repair cost was 95€.

Yep, had a similar issue with my Mondeo. The daylight sensor was causing issues with the climate control. Did you check the sensor itself for any visible damage?
