Monza AC compressor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Chevy Monza is experiencing air conditioning issues, with the system not switching on and blowing hot air. An error code related to the A/C compressor was found, and undervoltage was suspected as a cause. Suggestions included checking the pressure sensor, belt tensioner, and potential refrigerant leaks. The issue was ultimately resolved by identifying and fixing a small refrigerant leak, leading to the restoration of the air conditioning system.

Thanks for the tips! I haven't checked the pressure sensor or belt tensioner yet, but that's next on my list. How did you figure out what was wrong with yours? Was it actually a refrigerant leak?

Yeah, similar symptoms. In my case, it turned out to be low refrigerant due to a small leak. I ended up taking it to a workshop to get it properly diagnosed and refilled. Saved me a lot of time and potential headaches trying to pinpoint the exact location of the leak myself. Might be worth considering.

Took it to a mechanic, and you were right – low refrigerant due to a tiny leak! They found it, fixed it, and refilled the system. Cost me 240€, but at least I have cold air again. Thanks for the advice!

I had a similar problem with my Monza. Air conditioning just stopped cooling one day. Have you checked the pressure sensor or the belt tensioner? A refrigerant leak could also cause the compressor to shut off to protect itself. Is the compressor actually getting power?
