Monza AC Failure
Summary of the thread
The 2021 Chevrolet Monza's air conditioning system has completely stopped working, accompanied by a warning light and an error code. The initial suspicion is a faulty refrigerant compressor. However, similar experiences suggest the issue might also be with the air conditioning control unit. The recommended solution is to have the vehicle inspected by a professional, which led to the identification and resolution of the problem with the control unit.

Thanks! I haven't checked for leaks myself, wouldn't know where to start. Is it a common issue with the Monza, or did you find anything else that might point to the AC compressor?

Well, it could be other things, but based on what you're describing, it does sound like it could be related to the AC compressor or potentially the air conditioning control unit. When mine went, it turned out the control unit was defective. Honestly, with all those symptoms, you're probably best off getting it checked by a professional to be certain.

Thank you so much! It's reassuring to know someone else had a similar experience. I'll take it to the workshop and mention the air conditioning control unit. Turns out that was exactly the problem - cost me 980€ but at least it's fixed!

Hey! I also drive a Monza, though not sure about the build year. Your symptoms sound familiar to what I experienced last summer. My AC just quit, and I got that warning light.
